This picture on the left shows the Hyder house that was razed to build the Farmers and Mechanics Bank building. Note the fountain in center square. The Annan building is now the Ott House. The building just behind the Hyder house is the old hotel with Stavros pizza on the bottom floor.

Note also the telephone pole on the corner. At some point all poles and wires were removed from Main Street.

The two houses just beyond the Annan building have been razed for the new Vigilant Hose Fire company building. The next two buildings still remain and are owned by the fire company.
